Seems like we are in the summer doldrums- although the bikes keep trickling in. The bike counter on this blog doesn't operate with many of the browser versions out there- so here is the manual update:
About 300 bikes physically on hand- YAHH. 250 of them are packed and ready to go. We likely have close to 100 more committed- so we can say we are approaching 400 bikes!
I wish we had better news on the financial end- running around $4,000 cash on hand. That's about 10 bucks per bike. Hopefully we gather some fundraising momentum in September and can get these bikes to Africa. I really don't know of any other charity that can change a life so dramatically for $25 and a donated bike........
